To Update you on our latest visited destinations, I want to give you some impressions of one of 2 destinations we visited in the mainland of Thailand: Krabi / Ao Luek.
We stayed in Ao Luek for one week. It felt good to have more time at one destinaton than just a few days. The island-hopping was really nice but also exhausting after Koh Samui and I thought it was the right decision to book the bungalow for 7 days.
From the bungalow we made some daytrips with rented mororbikes.
We also had the luck to get showed around in Ao Luek, a suburb from Krabi by a local girl we met during our stay. There we experienced one of our highlichts on our trip so far, the nationalpark Than Bok Kohrani.
We played pool in a random poolbar in the small city center, we experienced a nice sunset at a beach at ebb time and you could walk out really far. gave me “Wattenmeer” vibes.
We ate local restaurants and had lots of good cheap food and cute moments with the owners. a normal meal here like a fried rice was 60-70 BHT – like 1.50 Franks.
We took a taxi 2 times to Ao Nang, the beachside 20 minutes from Krabi, where the nightlife takes place.
The only downside to Krabi was, that it was also time for Joel to leave us due to work that was waiting for him in Switzerland. We hope he keeps his promise and will join us again on our trip in the future!
Krabi / Ao Luek was great fun, a relaxing stay mixed with great moments and stunning views. Ao Luek is situated next to big mountain formations, which really gives you the vibe of being in the middle of a swiss valey in the alps. Was an impressive view.
