Hey guys! Im Timon and im traveling with Nicolas. I was thinking, its the right time for my first blogpost. Im writing from phuket patong, near the popular bangla road.
My report is about the small Island of Koh phi phi. It is located southwest from Thailand between Krabi and Phuket. We arrived there on the 13 of march and stayed 3 nights till the 16 of march.
So here is what we did on the island and what we thought about it:
Due to its small size, Koh Phi Phi doesn’t offer vehicle rentals for tourists, not even motorbikes. This means you have to explore on foot, which turned out to be quite enjoyable and relaxing.
Some of the island’s popular and cool locations, like Monkey Bay, are only accessible by boat, so you’ll need to arrange for a boat taxi.
Koh Phi Phi’s unique formation, resembling a weird ‘H’ from a bird’s eye view, includes a place with a narrow gap between two seashores. Check it out on Google Maps!
The island has become very touristy due to its beautiful nature, resulting in slightly higher prices compared to other places we’ve visited.
We booked a small bungalow on a hill close to the center, which meant climbing a lot of stairs those few days! Despite being exhausting, the breathtaking view made it all worthwhile.
On our first day, we explored the city and had dinner at the beach, followed by beers and live music.A really nice and enjoyable evening.
Our second day was spent relaxing at the beach, as we hadn’t had many beach options in Surat Thani or Krabi. After lunch and a short power nap, we dined and then experienced Koh Phi Phi’s nightlife.
We woke up early the next day to prepare for the party boat, ensuring we had everything we needed. The event, starting around 2 pm, offered a unique experience of seeing various places and attractions while mingling with other tourists.
The party boat trip included visits to Monkey Beach, the Viking Cave, Maya Bay, Loh Samah Bay, and Pileh Bay, providing an unforgettable experience.
On our last night in Koh Phi Phi we checked out the Irish pub on the island, even had a Guinness and had some fun going out for the last time there.
On our last day, we departed for Phuket via speedboat, concluding our memorable stay on Koh Phi Phi.
